Why it matters

Recovery happens while you sleep

Deep sleep is when the body repairs muscle, clears fatigue and consolidates training. A bed that keeps you aligned and cool helps you reach and hold that sleep, so you wake readier. That is the whole idea behind the range. Claims backed by real athletes and sourced sleep science, never invented numbers.

Real athletes, real words

Hello, my name is Aurora Terry and I train out of Daredevil Jiu Jitsu. During the time of having my mattress prior to the Aurora mattress, I wasn't able to keep a longevity of I was sleeping, felt very unenergized, my back was sore, my neck was sore. I had a very tough time recovering. Since I've gotten the mattress, my body has felt a lot better. The Cool Gel Memory Foam. I think stood out to me the most on the Aurora mattress. I find that I no longer find like an overwhelming sense of heat and it's making me able to sleep better and asleep better in a longevity period. That's probably what stood out most to me. I had sleep scores ranging from approximately 60 to 80. There was no consistency in my sleep schedule, and there was no consistency in my sleep score. Now having the Aurora mattress, my sleep score ranges from 95 to 99. All it needs is for me to lay my head on that pillow and I end up with a good sleep score. I got the Aurora mattress one month prior. to doing a tournament and I think that the Aurora mattress really did help my performance. I ended up getting second place after not training for a year. If I wasn't sleeping in that bed I wasn't able to focus as much. as I was at the time, I think that I would have ended up not even placing on the podium. I'm feeling a lot more energized and I'm feeling a lot more focused. I feel a lot less irritable. It makes my mood... feel a lot better and I feel like I'm not switching between emotions because I'm getting a lot more sleep. Shortly there's another tournament and I will end up getting gold. I will do a lot better since I have been training a lot more. and I've got a lot more focus and a lot more sleep, not just a month of catching up on sleep. When I used to sleep on my old mattress, I used to get a lot of brain fog during my everyday life. I feel lighter just with it. myself and I'm super excited to see what the benefits will be in a few months. If you want to be doing your personal best you should start looking after your sleep just like I do.

My name is Spencer Southam. I am a personal trainer and strength coach helping people age 40 all the way to 70 become very very strong. My name is Neen. I'm a project coordinator for a housing provider. What made us really want to start looking for a new bed? honest the quality of the bed that we have been using has just not been very good. So I've definitely noticed a massive correlation between bad sleep and training performance, especially being a personal trainer and a strength coach, between sleep and improving in the gym. is very important in the market now and looking for something that will really help our recovery and our training and increase the quality and the depth of our sleep so that we can get back to working and training as optimally as we can. to find something from the bed that made me feel like I'm sleeping on the cloud. Hey, bro. Smit, sir. Smit, nice to meet you. Nice to meet you. Smit, nice to meet you. We're just looking out for something else. That's what I'm here for. Like a medium firm? Like a medium firm. Now this time I have to take a nap. So that was this one right? That was that one. I was expecting to be like sink a little bit in there. Undecent space. I'm still with the other two. OK, and let's go to the next one. That's called pegasus Already inside I feel like the support in every angle And see what makes you feel the both Who looks happier, her or me? Alright, one more time. One more time. Maybe this one. They go home with us a lot. This one. I'm choosing this one right here. I believe it's called Pegasus. I love the name. Spacing and sizing was quite important. As soon as you lie on this bed, you know it's the one and then that's it. It's aligned with my needs. more out of all the other options that we have here today. Definitely wanting to increase my deep sleep. Those figures increase, obviously for the better. Ready to tackle the gym, ready to do the things that I need to do for that day and how it's gonna. my training positively. And the rates of recovery is going to set up what how much you can push at the gym. That's my lifeline, that's my sanity so this is giving me back a piece of my health. physical and mental, I believe.

Seven weeks into sleeping on their Dreamland bed, Spencer and Neen share what actually changed: a better routine, a foundation that supports recovery, and no magic fix.

So my sleep score did not change that much, but that's totally fine. I'm here with my beautiful fiance, Neen. No magic fix either. It's also come down to how we better our routine, I guess. That's the foundation, right? You need a good foundation so that it can support you to recover, to train well. The neck pain and back pain, thankfully did not get worse, really helps preventing further injury. With the support the mattress provides, it's preventing you from getting any more soreness. Surprisingly, I get up before my alarm went off. Quite shocking for me. Every night we're just looking forward to our sleep. Such a good thing to have. My deep sleep as well, 50% increase from 6% to 12%. Three hours and 55 minutes, that's 22 minutes more. The REM sleep has improved a little bit. I've been dreaming a lot, very ambitious. You know, got big plans. One bed, two tracking apps, good sleep. About a third of your life is spent in bed. I'm so glad that that third of our life is now way better, and I'm really keen to keep at that for the next seven weeks coming up.

I just want the bed to be that thing that I can just like lie down and then feel hugged. Feel like I'm sleeping on the clouds. When I flip over, every angle you feel supported. And this is a huge thing for me because we don't have the aircon unit in our bedroom. This one. So we ended up choosing this one right here. I believe it's called Pegasus. I love the name. The feeling that I got from lying on this bed is just answer everything.

And originally when we ordered the bed, we ordered it online, so we didn't get to compare with any other options. We didn't get to experience it in person, and we just got what we got. You don't really know until you actually feel it, you know, until you actually press your weight on it, you lay on it. We're just actually getting a chance to experience it in person, as opposed to just looking at it online. I'm Smit from Beds4U, I work in Henderson. I'm the store and I'm the sleep expert whenever you need a new bed. Trying in store changes your perception because you see it from your eyes. The biggest myth that there's in the market when it comes to bed is that a firm bed is more supportive and good for your back. But that's wrong. Every bed is equally supportive. It comes down to your own personal preference.

No magic fix either. It's also come down to how we better our routine, I guess. It wasn't as drastic as I thought it was going to be. There's a lot more involved with good sleep than just obviously having a nice bed. The most important thing is obviously what are you sleeping on, but it's also important to not forget about other things. That's the foundation, right? You need a good foundation so that it can support you to recover, to train well. This whole process has been a great learning experience for me. It's taught me that, though the bed helped a little bit, I now know what I need to work on.

Zoned support keeps the spine aligned and cooling foam manages heat, so you reach and hold the deep sleep where the body repairs. We back this with real athletes, not invented numbers.
Which bed is right for me?
Aurora for cooling recovery, Pegasus for premium everyday performance, Titan for firm support and bigger, powerful athletes. Use the chooser above, or find a stockist and feel them in person.
Can I buy online?
Not yet. Dreamland sells through trusted New Zealand stockists, so you can try the bed before you buy. Use Find a stockist to locate your nearest.
Are the performance claims real?
Yes, and we are careful with them. The numbers you see are each athlete’s own tracked results on their own device, shown in their own words, not a guarantee of your results.
