Where can I buy Dreamland mattresses and beds in New Zealand?

Dreamland is sold through a network of authorised retailers across both islands, not directly to the public. Use the Store Finder on any product page or our website: enter your postcode and it lists stockists from nearest to furthest.

Can I buy directly from Dreamland or visit your warehouse?

No. The website is a catalogue, and all purchases are made through our retail partners. Our East Tamaki site is a warehouse and office, not a public showroom.

How do I find my nearest stockist?

Enter your postcode in the Store Finder and it shows the stockists closest to you, ordered nearest to furthest. Each product page also lists retailers that carry that product.

Does every stockist carry the full Dreamland range?

No. No retailer carries the entire range, and even chain stores can vary their selection from store to store. Call a store ahead to confirm a specific model is on display.

How do I choose the right mattress firmness?

Side sleepers usually suit plush to medium, back sleepers medium to firm, and front or heavier sleepers firm. Dreamland mattresses come in Plush, Medium, and Firm.

What mattress sizes are available in New Zealand?

Single, King Single, Double, Queen, King, and Super King, built to NZ dimensions so they fit NZ bed frames and bedding.

What is the difference between pocket spring, memory foam, and latex?

Pocket spring uses independently wrapped coils that limit partner disturbance. Memory foam moulds to your shape and relieves pressure. Latex is springy, breathable and durable. Dreamland uses pocket spring systems such as Precision7 with comfort layers like CoolGel.

What is a mattress in a box?

A mattress compressed, rolled and shipped in a compact box that expands once unboxed. In the Dreamland range, the Quasar and Chelsea ship this way.

Which Dreamland mattress suits back support needs?

Even, zoned support that keeps the spine aligned, typically medium to firm. Dreamland’s Precision7 zoned pocket spring models are built for spinal support. For a medical issue, consult your health professional and try the feel in store.

Do you make a mattress for athletes or active recovery?

Yes. The Aurora is a NZ designed mattress for athletes and active sleepers, with a Precision7 zoned pocket spring system, CoolGel memory foam, and EdgeGuard edge support.

How is my mattress delivered?

Dreamland supplies retailers ex warehouse and does not drop ship, so delivery is arranged by the retailer you buy from under their own policy. Ask your stockist about options, timing and fees.

Is there a sleep trial or comfort guarantee?

Any sleep trial or comfort guarantee is set by the retailer and varies from store to store. Dreamland does not run a trial programme of its own, so check the trial or returns policy directly with your stockist before you buy.

How do returns and change of mind work?

Returns and exchanges are handled under the policy of the retailer you bought from, because your purchase contract is with them. Keep your proof of purchase. Your Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 rights apply through the retailer.

Who handles a warranty claim?

Your first contact is always the retailer you bought from, since your purchase contract is with them. They help with the claim and work with Dreamland behind the scenes.

What does the warranty cover?

Manufacturing faults and defects for the period that applies to that range, such as faulty workmanship or abnormal sagging beyond the stated threshold. Normal wear, comfort change, accidental damage and misuse are not covered. CGA 1993 rights apply regardless.

Do warranty periods differ across the range?

Yes. Warranty periods vary by range and are confirmed on the product information and with your retailer. Some retailers also offer their own extended cover, so ask your stockist what applies to the specific model.

How long should a mattress actually last?

A warranty covers manufacturing faults, not lifespan. Independent guidance including the Sleep Foundation suggests most mattresses are best replaced around every 6 to 8 years, for support and hygiene reasons. With good care many Dreamland mattresses stay comfortable beyond their warranty period; replacement is about comfort, support and hygiene, not just warranty length.

How do I care for my mattress and protect the warranty?

Use a supportive base, rotate where recommended, use a mattress protector, and avoid dragging, standing on it, or removing the product label tag. Full guidance is on the Care Instructions page.

Are Dreamland kids beds and bunks safe to NZ standards?

Yes. Dreamland kids beds and bunks are tested to AS/NZS 4220, the NZ and Australian bunk bed safety standard, with third party test certification on file.

What is Dreamland Bedding?

A New Zealand owned sleep and bedroom brand focused on affordable luxury and active sleep and recovery. It designs its mattresses in NZ and sells through authorised retailers nationwide.

Is Dreamland a New Zealand brand?

Yes. Dreamland is NZ owned and designs its mattresses in NZ (specification, comfort level, fabric, finish and logo design). The wider bedroom range is sourced to fit NZ homes.
