Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026
At Dreamland Bedding we respect your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect your personal information when you interact with us, including on our website.
1. Who we are
Dreamland Bedding is a New Zealand owned sleep and bedroom brand. We design our mattresses in New Zealand and bring together a coordinated range of beds, headboards, kids beds, bedroom furniture and pillows. This website is a catalogue and information site: you can browse the range, find a stockist near you, contact us, and sign up for updates. You cannot buy from this site directly; our products are sold through our stockists.
2. What information we collect
We collect personal information only where it is reasonably necessary, including:
- Contact details: your name, email address, phone number and any message, when you use our contact form or email us.
- Newsletter signup: your email address, if you choose to subscribe to updates.
- Stockist enquiries: if you run a retail business and enquire about becoming a stockist, your business name, address, website and related details.
- Warranty and support: if we help with a warranty or service issue, details such as the product name, purchase date, retailer, and photos or descriptions of the issue.
- Website usage: your IP address, device and browser type, and the pages you view, collected through analytics as described in section 5.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive information, and we do not collect payment card details on this website.
Occasionally we may receive your information from someone other than you, for example when a stockist passes on a warranty enquiry for you. Where we collect your information indirectly like this, we take reasonable steps to make sure you are aware of it, as New Zealand privacy law requires.
3. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- respond to your enquiries;
- send you updates you have asked for, which you can stop at any time;
- assess stockist enquiries;
- handle warranty and product support;
- operate and improve the website using aggregated analytics;
- meet our legal obligations and protect our legal rights.
We will not use your information for a materially different purpose without your consent, unless the law requires it.
4. Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted providers who process information on our behalf, only as needed to run the website and to communicate with you:
- Cloudflare, which hosts the website and provides its privacy first analytics;
- Google Analytics, which helps us understand how the site is used;
- Brevo, which sends our email updates if you subscribe.
We may also share your information with a stockist, with your agreement, to help resolve your enquiry, and where the law requires it. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
Some of these providers store or process information outside New Zealand (for example, Brevo in the European Union, and Google and Cloudflare in the United States and elsewhere). Where your information goes overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected by safeguards comparable to New Zealand privacy law.
5. Cookies and analytics
Our website uses two analytics tools:
- Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy first: it does not use cookies and does not track you across other sites.
- Google Analytics, which uses cookies to measure how the site is used.
You can control or disable cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as intended. For how Google Analytics processes data, please see Google's own documentation.
6. Keeping your information safe
We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure, including secure systems, access controls and staff awareness. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, or as the law requires. When it is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymise it.
7. If something goes wrong
If we ever experience a privacy breach that is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify the people affected and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner as soon as we can, as the Privacy Act 2020 requires.
8. Your rights
Subject to some exceptions under New Zealand law, you can:
- ask to see the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct anything you believe is wrong or incomplete;
- stop marketing emails at any time.
To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity first.
