Description

The Newtown is an upholstered gas lift storage bed that tidies a lot of life into its under base compartment. Spring assist gas struts (rated to 70 kg) make lifting smooth, with the mattress acting as a counterweight so you do not need brute strength. Inside, a full bottom board keeps everything off the floor and dust free, with room for linen, winter duvets, sports gear or a suitcase. Upholstered in Slate for a calm, modern look, it is headboard ready and pairs neatly with the Fendalton or Parnell headboards in matching fabric. Part of Dreamland’s New Zealand bedroom range, the Newtown is sized for NZ homes.

Care Instructions

  • Vacuum the upholstery regularly on low suction with an upholstery attachment
  • For marks, blot (do not rub) with a clean, lightly damp cloth and a little mild fabric cleaner, then air dry
  • Operate the gas lift with the mattress in place as a counterweight; do not exceed the 70 kg rating
  • Check the lift mechanism and retighten frame bolts periodically
