Description

The Westhaven Bed Frame is the statement piece of the Westhaven range. Where Orewa is bright and airy, Westhaven is grounded and graphic. The grey walnut high-gloss finish shows genuine woodgrain figure through the gloss: the reflective surface catches light, and the grain pattern gives it depth that solid colours cannot. The frame uses a distinctive floating base design with a slim recessed plinth, which makes the bed appear to hover above the floor, a contemporary Italian design signature that suits modern townhouses and renovated apartments. Rather than traditional timber slats, the Westhaven uses a perforated MDF base board, a flat, stable platform with ventilation holes throughout, giving your mattress consistent support across the full sleeping surface while still allowing airflow.

Measurements

  • Queen Bed Frame: 1550 × 1180 × 2050 mm (W × H × D). Height is measured to the top of the headboard.
  • Fits: Standard NZ Queen mattress (1530 × 2030 mm)
  • Assembly: Flat packed. Two adults recommended, 60 to 90 minutes depending on experience.

Care Instructions

  • Dust regularly with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. Avoid feather dusters and paper towels.
  • For marks or spills: Wipe with a lightly damp microfibre cloth and a drop of mild dish soap, then dry the surface immediately. The high-gloss finish is sensitive to standing moisture.
  • Never use ammonia based cleaners, bleach, alcohol, solvents, glass cleaner or abrasive scrubbers.
  • Keep out of direct sunlight where possible. UV exposure can gradually fade the grey walnut tone.
  • Protect from knocks around the recessed plinth base. Gloss surfaces chip more readily than timber.
  • Tighten bolts after the first month of use and then every 6 to 12 months. Flat packed furniture settles with use.
