Gary Tse
Born in Hong Kong and raised in New Zealand, Gary is part of a family that’s been involved with designing, making and selling quality furniture for more than three decades. His interest in furniture manufacturing and technology is balanced by a passion for efficient systems that put customers’ needs first.
Gary has been directly involved with furniture since 2008 when he worked as a salesperson, trading between China and New Zealand. In 2012 he founded an import company, then Dreamland the brand was born in 2013.
Under Gary’s management, Dreamland has grown to encompass a full range of quality-but-affordable bedroom furniture – mattresses, bases, frames, headboards and suites.
Before getting into the furniture business, Gary gained an IT degree from the University of Auckland. He has used his IT expertise to build bespoke back-office systems that keep Dreamland running smoothly.
Yoyo Liu
Yoyo arrived in New Zealand in 2001 and instantly fell in love with the land of the long white cloud. She’s outgoing, friendly and great at solving problems before they happen.
Since 2010, Yoyo has been helping to connect New Zealanders to the furniture they need. She understands the business from retailing right through to wholesaling, and puts this broad experience to work at Dreamland.
As Gary’s lieutenant, Yoyo spends her days making sure Dreamland customers get what they need, when they need it. Yoyo is also involved with sourcing and importing quality furniture products that enhance the Dreamland range.
